One creator. Up to 35 members. One shared leaderboard.

Study Groups turn solo practice into a shared experience. Whether you run a B1 evening class, tutor a handful of students, or just want to learn German with your friends, you can set up a group in under a minute.

Everything your group needs

Built for real teachers, tutors, and study buddies — not a watered-down classroom gimmick.

Private, invite-only groups

You control who joins. No public directories, no strangers — just the 6-character code you share.

Assign targeted lessons

Pick the exact lessons your group should practice. Members can keep drilling them even after the free daily limit.

Shared weekly leaderboard

Friendly competition on who earned the most XP this week. Keeps motivation up without feeling competitive.

One Premium, everyone benefits

Only the group creator needs Premium. Every member joins for free and gets unlimited access to assigned lessons.

Track progress at a glance

See who is active, who is falling behind, and who is crushing it — so you can follow up where it matters.

Works everywhere

iOS, Android, and the web. Members practice on whatever device they already have.

How it works

From zero to a live study group in four steps.

1

Create a group

Give it a name (e.g. "Class 7b German") and a short description. You'll get a 6-character join code.

2

Share the code

Send the code to your students, friends, or family. They join for free — no Premium needed on their side.

3

Assign lessons

Pick the cases, verbs, prepositions, or vocabulary your group should practice this week.

4

Compete & track

Everyone earns XP on the same weekly leaderboard. Great for streaks, classroom energy, and friendly rivalry.

Built for real learners

If you teach, tutor, or learn German with other people, Study Groups are for you.

German teachers

Give your class a way to keep practicing between lessons — and see at a glance who's actually doing the reps.

Private tutors

Assign homework that's actually practice, not busywork. Track progress without chasing students for screenshots.

Language schools

Run multiple groups for different levels. One Premium subscription covers a class of up to 35 learners.

Friends & family

Learning German with a friend, your partner, or your kids? Make it a game and keep each other accountable.

Fair, transparent limits

No hidden tiers or "enterprise only" features. These are the exact caps every creator gets.

Up to 3 groups

Per Premium creator. Perfect for a teacher running parallel classes.

Up to 35 members

Plenty for a full school class, tutoring cohort, or extended friend group.

Up to 10 assigned lessons

Keep the focus tight. Rotate lessons as your group progresses.

30-day join codes

Codes expire for safety — you can generate a new one in a tap.

Study Groups FAQ

Do all members need a Premium subscription?

No. Only the group creator needs Premium. Every member joins for free and can practice the assigned lessons without hitting the normal daily free limit.

Is the app free for my students?

Yes. Students download KasusKnacker for free, enter the 6-character code, and get full access to everything you assign — no payment, no card, no trial.

Can I see each student's progress?

Yes. As the group creator, you see every member on the weekly leaderboard with their XP and recent activity. You can also remove members at any time.

How many students can I add?

Up to 35 members per group. You can run up to 3 groups in parallel on a single Premium subscription, so a teacher can cover 105 learners with one plan.

What if my join code gets shared outside my class?

Codes expire after 30 days, and you can generate a new one in a single tap at any time. The old code immediately stops working.

Can I use it without being a teacher?

Absolutely. Study Groups work just as well for friends learning together, couples, or family members keeping each other accountable.
